With over 25 years of experience in the energy industry and a MSc in petroleum geology Geoff has developed a global background with Equinor, Petro-Canada and ExxonMobil that will help fund the energy transition. Educated and trained in North America and Europe he provides depth and an insight to both long-term exploration and near-term development. From Canada, Argentina and the North Sea he has a proven track record in accessing, finding, and developing both oil and gas opportunities.
Morten is an entrepreneur, seasoned climate tech investor, and the founder of Natural Hydrogen Ventures (NHV)—the world’s first investment fund specializing in the emerging natural hydrogen industry. The fund invests globally in both exploration and related technologies and recently completed its second investment in the sector.

Transferring his knowledge into executive management, he then operated as CEO in three independent E&P companies and has held a number of NED/Chairman roles over the past 15+ years on public, private and University Boards globally.

Gerardo Gaitan is a salt tectonics specialist and basin researcher for Latin America at S&P Global based in the United Kingdom. Gerardo holds an M.Sc. in Petroleum Geosciences and a Ph.D. in Structural Geology and Salt Tectonics from Royal Holloway University of London. Moreover, Gerardo is the author of the first classification for multi-stage salt structures and is an experienced seismic interpreter, geomechanics analyst, and petroleum system and basin modeler with international technical experience in Argentina, Uruguay, offshore Brazil, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Gulf of Mexico, and the North Sea. Gerardo has worked in both exploration and production projects, e.g., from exploring for hydrocarbons under salt canopies to drilling through 3,000 m of salt. Further, Gerardo is the co-founder of the Young Professionals Summit and advises student chapters across Europe; helping fellow young professionals and future geoscientists to kick off their careers and explore different career paths.
Paul is a geologist with 35 years experience in the global upstream industry, mainly in Africa and the UK. He has worked for a number of operators both as an employee and, for nearly 20 years, as a consultant. He currently acts as Exploration Manager for Global Petroleum in Namibia and as the UK agent for SolGeo to promote microseismic monitoring for carbon capture projects and a structural monitoring system for offshore facilities.
Paul is part of a small global network of agents that Pivotree has engaged to approach the owners of undeveloped discoveries on which to deploy the novel Pivotree subsea tree and associated FPSO. For the past year he has been busy unearthing suitable projects, which is the focus of the presentation.
Since April 2024, Camille has been a SpotLighter, specializing as a technical sales professional. In this role, she collaborates with geophysicists and MMV leads to design custom monitoring solutions for CCS projects. Prior to this, Camille worked for 10 years at Paradigm, where she provided solutions for the Energy, CCS, and Geothermal industries across Europe, with a focus on reservoir modeling. She applied expertise in integrated reservoir studies and contributed to a variety of reservoir modeling projects. Camille holds an MSc degree in petroleum geosciences from ENSG, National School of Geology of Nancy, France.
Elke Mugova is a mine water researcher and has been focusing on water in mining since her master's studies in hydrogeology and engineering geology in 2014. Currently she is working at Fraunhofer IEG, Competence Center for Post-Mining-Exploitation in the EU project PUSH-IT. Her main responsibilities are stakeholder engagement, communication and dissemination. Elke is the General Secretary of the International Mine Water Association (IMWA) and board member of Women in Mining and Resources Germany (WiM Germany). She organises national and international symposia and conferences in the field of mining and post-mining and geothermal.
Sarah is the Exploration Manager for Gaz du Cameroun (GDC), working on the Matanda block, Douala/Kribi-Campo Basin, onshore Cameroon. She has held this position for the past eight years, though has a total of almost thirty years of global upstream experience working as an exploration geoscientist, in a mix of consultancies and oil and gas companies during her career, with specialisms in structural geology, basin evolution, African geology and salt tectonics.
Sarah managed the Subsurface evaluation of the Matanda Block which has led to the identification of 26 risked and ranked prospects, with one about to be drilled. She holds a MSc. degree in Structural Geology and Geophysics from Imperial College, has several published papers, and is a member of the GESGB. She also has an interest in Geothermal and renewable energy.
Currently Dave is Non-Executive Chair for Serica Energy plc, a top 10 independent oil and gas producer in the UK, where he also held an Interim CEO role. Previously Dave was a Senior Vice President for OMV AG and Executive Chairman for OMV Norge. While at OMV for 6 years he was responsible for a portfolio of businesses across 15 countries in Northwest Europe, Africa and Australasia. Prior to OMV he held a number of senior VP and global/regional business roles at BP where he worked for 18 years and was based in the UK, Asia, South America and North America. Dave was a founder of a private equity investment fund, is an investor in several venture capital backed start-up technology companies and is an enthusiastic supporter of personal development, an area in which he has taught, coached and mentored. He graduated as a Geologist at Newcastle University, completed a PhD at Edinburgh University and was awarded a Research Fellowship to work at Cambridge University.
Imran is the current President of AAPG Europe Young Professionals and an ardent Staff Stratigrapher at PetroStrat, a leading provider in integrated geoscience solutions, spanning across traditional O&G projects as well as projects related to the Energy Transition. Helping clients build robust subsurface understanding/frameworks for confident decision making. Imran has worked globally from the North Sea (UK, Norwegian & Danish sectors), Ghana, Ivory Coast, Gulf of Mexico (US & Mexican sectors), Israel, Columbia, Oman and also helped deliver a successful biostratigraphy framework, offshore, during the Senegal Sangomar Field Project, in which Senegal achieved first oil in June 2024. Imran has an interest in advancing the science of stratigraphy attempting to utilise data science to optimise workflows in order to gain more insights from large scale (legacy) data, to repurpose for the Energy Transition.
In his AAPG role Imran and the YP team are on a mission to cultivate a strong geoscience community, empowering students and YPs entering the field, plus addressing skill shortages and misconceptions of the energy industry on ground level. All to inspire the next generation of geoscientists.
Lisa is the Lead Geophysicist for the Equatorial Guinea project, bringing over 26 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She has worked with major international E&P companies, including Shell, Hess, Texaco, GdF Suez, and currently Africa Oil Corp. Her expertise spans mega-regional studies, prospect-scale evaluations, and drilling projects across the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Australia, with extensive experience across Africa, including work in Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Nigeria, Gabon, Congo, Angola, South Africa, and Equatorial Guinea.
Lisa holds a PhD in Structural Geology from Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, University of London, and a MSc in Petroleum Geology from the University of Aberdeen.
Stephen Coomber is a Senior Analyst at Westwood, covering NW Europe E&P. He has over 15 years’ analytical industry experience, as a geophysicist in a mining house in South Africa and globally in the O&G industry. He has worked for Hess and Atlantic Petroleum, as well as for potential field service companies EMGS, Norway, and Arkex, UK. He also developed models to identify fraudulent transactions at a retail bank. He obtained a MSc. in Geophysics at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
Jovan Petrovic has been the Director of Petroleum Geoscience with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador since 2015. He started in the private sector in 1985 holding numerous high level technical geoscience positions taking him to many oil and gas jurisdictions throughout the world.
Jovan and his Petroleum Geoscience team successfully launched the first Virtual Geoscience Data room for Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore oil and gas. Jovan is currently leading a team of geoscientists working on the provinces first Natural Gas assessment in the Jeanne d’Arc region with a delivery date scheduled in Q2 2025.
Santiago is Energy Transition manager, in charge of the E&P, Green H2 and Renewable Energies Development business units at ANCAP. He specializes in technical and economic evaluation of energy projects and contracts.
In the position of E&P Administration and Contracts Manager, he worked in the design of the fiscal regime, contract model and bidding round terms of the Uruguay Rounds, bidding processes that he managed, and which ended with the signature of tens of E&P contracts offshore Uruguay, more than 1200MMUS$ in exploration expenditures (invested by the private sector at their own risk) and 45MMUS$ of gross income for ANCAP. He is a representative of ANCAP on the managing committee for all the contracts in force.
Richard joined Wood Mackenzie in 2019 as a Senior Upstream Analyst for SSA. In 2021, he took on the Subsurface Research Manager. He co-led the development of Lens Carbon, and now leads low carbon energy research within the Subsurface CoE, including next generation geothermal and natural hydrogen.
Richard began his career as a Junior Geologist at Neftex Petroleum Consultants. Following his MSc, he moved to BG Group plc (now Shell International Ltd) in various global roles across new ventures, exploration, and well operations. Richard’s experience expands beyond the oil and gas sector, having led and supported major government projects, including the Heathrow Airport expansion proposal, and offshore aggregate resource assessments to inform on Wind farm licensing.
Richard holds a MSc (Hons) in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Manchester, and BSc (Hons) in Resource and Applied Geology from the University of Birmingham.
Aileen is a Sustainability and Raw Materials Consultant at Satarla, a risk management and sustainability consultancy, based in London. She holds a PhD in Economic Geochemistry from University College Dublin, Ireland. Transitioning into sustainability and risk management, Aileen combines her academic expertise with sustainability principles to support companies and organisations build more responsible and sustainable futures. Alongside her work at Satarla, she is actively involved in responsible mining and sustainability initiatives, including the annual Responsible Raw Materials event. She is also the co-founder and director of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Geosciences (EDIG) project, a global volunteer-led effort dedicated to making geosciences more inclusive, accessible, and welcoming for all.
Dr Atika Karim (PhD) is currently working at ONHYM as South Offshore Projects Manager, presently assigned to basin evaluation in both offshore and onshore areas. She joined RPS Energy in Halifax, Canada in 2011 to be a member of the poly-disciplinary project “Play Fairway Analysis Project of the Scotian Basin, offshore Nova Scotia”, after working 4 years at Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, as postdoctoral researcher, and researcher associate, on a Petroleum Research-Atlantic Canada (PR-AC)–funded sedimentology and diagenesis project, offshore Nova Scotia. She received a Ph.D. in geology from the University of Paris XI, France, in 2007, a M.Sc. degree from the University of Lille, France, and a B.Sc. degree from the University of Marrakech, Morocco, and the University of Bretagne Occidentale, France.
Thibault de Saint-Vaulry is serving as the Regional Sales Manager for GEOLITH since January 2024 and oversees the commercialization of the in-house Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology for Europe.
Previously, Thibault spent nearly 14 years at a global mining Group, where he held multiple key positions in logistics, marketing, and sales. His work in these roles contributed significantly to his extensive experience in the metals industry, including Lithium.
Amanda leads MGF, a boutique advisory firm focused on sustainable finance, primarily in emerging markets. She is an expert in financial structuring, investing, and project development, with 25 years’ experience in more than 40 countries. Her passion is finding ways to align incentives in complex transactions through the use of blended capital, results-based finance, and innovative financial structures. Recently, she served as the Chief Investment Officer for the Climate Finance for Development Accelerator, USAID’s flagship climate finance program. In this capacity, she oversaw the award of first loss capital to two funds focused on sustainable investing for the energy transition.
She serves as a senior advisor to the Climate Policy Initiative and their Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance. She also worked for a renewable energy private equity/project development company developing and financing projects in the US, Latin America, and Europe. Her financial structuring and design experience ranges from risk mitigation facilities for multi-million dollar infrastructure projects to social impact bonds to provide health services to underserved communities. She has worked with both private and public sector clients, including ADB, Adam Smith International, Deloitte, DFID, TetraTech, USAID, and the World Wildlife Fund.
Amanda has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Finance and Entrepreneurship and an MA from the Johns Hopkins University School of International Studies (SAIS) in Southeast Asia Studies; she also has a BA from Johns Hopkins University.
A geology graduate of Imperial College, London, Colin has over 43 years’ industry experience in a range of technical and managerial roles, primarily in the UK and Far East, working on projects from frontier new ventures, through exploration and appraisal to developments.
In his current role as New Business Advisor for AIM listed Sunda Energy (LON:SNDA) his focus is on securing new exploration, appraisal and development opportunities in Asia-Pacific, as well as supporting SundaGas’ ongoing appraisal of the Chuditch asset, offshore Timor-Leste.
Prior to returning to UK in 2021, Colin was based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for over 17 years, including five years with Hess and Carigali-Hess and eight years as Exploration Manager for Mitra Energy, before joining SundaGas in 2018.
Earlier in his career he worked with a number companies including RTZ, Elf, Sun International, Kerr-McGee and Harrods Energy and was a founder director of Eclipse Energy initiating what became one of the UK’s first offshore wind farms.
Esmeralda is a Petroleum Geoscientist at Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos’s Exploration and Production Division. She has over 15 years integrating multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, working in Exploration and Development activities, including in deepwater operations in Mozambique and overseas. Esmeralda holds a MSc in Geological Engineering from Aveiro University, a MSc in Petroleum Geosciences from Imperial College London and a Postgraduate in Energy Economics and Finance from University of Aberdeen.
Fethia Lansari has 15 years of experience in ETAP ( Tunisian National Oil Company ) as an exploration geologist. In February 2021, she was appointed as Promotion department Deputy Manager. Fethia’s primary goal is to leverage her extensive knowledge in exploration to promote Tunisia’s subsurface potential and attract investors through targeted marketing campaigns and active participation in Oil & Gas events.
Graeme is currently Head of Global Exploration & Appraisal for Westwood Global Energy providing deep technical insight to help companies understand their exploration and appraisal performance and how to improve it. Prior to joining Westwood in 2017 Graeme was Head of Exploration Technology and Capability with Maersk Oil in Copenhagen and before that spent 30 years with BP in variety of subsurface technical and leadership positions in UK, Egypt and South America. Graeme has participated in global events for the AAPG, SEG, EAGE, PESGB and Frontier Energy Network. Graeme graduated from Oxford University with an MSc in Petroleum Exploration Seismology.
Bruce worked as a geoscientist in the oil and gas, mining and environmental sectors before joining Enverus. He has extensive industry experience working in locations such as Trinidad & Tobago, Mongolia, Sierra Leone, Australia and Uganda. Bruce holds a B.A. in Geology from Trinity College Dublin and M.Sc. in Land Management from Cranfield University.
Matt graduated from the University of Manchester in 1999 with a BSc in Geography and Geology before obtaining a MSc in Petroleum Geology from Oxford Brookes University in 2000. After graduating, Matt worked for Fugro-Aperio as an engineer before joining Aceca Geologica as a geologist working on North Sea well log stratigraphy and mapping. He joined TGS in 2006 where he was responsible for geoscience interpretation in Canada and Brazil, including a placement in Apache’s Brazil exploration team, before joining the TGS Africa group as lead geologist where he worked on new ventures and interpretation projects. Matt joined PGS Reservoir in 2015 as Africa Coordinator responsible for geoscience and business development tasks. In 2018 he was promoted to Angola New Ventures Manager and then in 2019 became Chief Geologist for Africa. Matt completed his PGS career in PGS Equity, a part of the Strategic Projects group, where he appraised block & field asset investment opportunities. Matt joined Trois Geoconsulting in 2020 where he is VP Business Development. At Trois, Matt supports their partners; Shearwater Geoservices, GeoPartners Ltd, Xcalibur Smart Mapping and Geofizyka Torun throughout Africa.
Thirty-eight international E&P experience including seven years in service companies, 20 years with a major operator (BG Group) and the last eleven years as an independent consultant. Global G&G experience in 94 countries across most geological settings. Key skills include frontier basin evaluation, creation of new play concepts, carbonate geology, fieldwork and, geoscience problem solving. Seventy-eight publications in peer reviewed journals on various aspects of petroleum geology including 33 papers on Southeast Asia.
Richard Morton has 25 years of experience in exploration, production, development and management in the oil and gas industry. Originally a highly qualified geophysicist, he has expanded his portfolio of skills progressively into operational and asset management. He has worked in a number of challenging contracting and operating environments, including as Centrica Energy’s Exploration Manager for Nigeria. He has been with Panoro Energy since 2008 with responsibilities for project and technical management of Panoro’s African exploration and development assets. Richard obtained a B.Sc. in Physics from Essex University in 1989 and went on to complete a M.Sc. in Applied Geophysics from the University of Birmingham the following year. He is a British citizen and resides in London, UK.
Jonathan has over 25 years’ experience in both the hydrocarbon, mining and energy transition industries. Starting work with the acquisition and processing of potential field data, then moving onto interpretation, Jonathan has expertise in the integration of potential field data, with complimentary datasets and particularly seismic data, to produce combined geological and geophysical solutions. As well as completing numerous projects in a range of geographical and geological settings, Jonathan has also been heavily involved in academic and R&D work, acting as an external project supervisor with universities and assisting with advances in the non-seismic method developments .

Arnout Everts is a broad-skilled geoscientist with a PhD in Geology from VU University Amsterdam, 34 years of energy-industry experience with Shell, PETRONAS, Murphy Oil, THREE60 Energy and since 2022 through his private consultancy AEGeo. His areas of expertise include techno-commercial project due-diligence, oil- and gas-field (re)development, resource assessments, geothermal resources, CO2 and hydrogen underground storage, and natural hydrogen. Through his career, Arnout has participated in and/or led over 100 energy projects spanning the entire project life-cycle, from frontier exploration to late field-life including conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons. In recent years his focus has shifted away from oil and gas and towards energy-transition opportunities and challenger pertaining to the uptake of renewables and underground storage. Arnout is an Active Member of AAPG, EAGE and GSM (Geological Society of Malaysia), a Professional Member of AGA (Australian Geothermal Association), member of the Hydrogen Science Coalition (https://h2sciencecoalition.com/) and he has authored or co-authored over 30 research papers in international scientific journals. With over 25 years experience in resource exploration for Consultancies, FTSE100 organisations and National Energy Companies he is now CEO of H2Au, a British based hydrogen explorer with a portfolio of assets in the USA and Africa.
Karyna is an Oxford University graduated Petroleum Geoscientist with over 30 years of multidisciplinary technical experience in global exploration-inclined projects. She possesses diverse experience from her time at PEMEX, BG and other major oil companies, where she worked closely with high level management to develop their strategic portfolios. She currently works at Searcher as part of a high performing team dedicated to identifying, pursuing, and realizing new ventures to support efforts in optimizing exploration for oil and gas in mature and frontier basins around the globe.
Edward has over 20 years of global upstream experience having worked extensively in West and East Africa, Australia, South East Asia, Oman and India in a variety of technical roles across the whole upstream value chain. Projects have varied from remote onshore exploration in Africa and Australia to frontier deepwater exploration in Africa, South East Asia and Australia.
Edward is a member of the small team at Impact Oil & Gas which was jointly responsible for the discovery the giant Venus oil field in ultra-deepwater Namibia. In Australia, Edward was responsible for the discovery of a number of significant gas fields including a play opening discovery.
Edward has a BSc (Hons) in Geophysics from Durham University, England and a MSc in Petroleum Geology from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.
Mike Powney is the Geoscience Manager for Geoex MCG working on their global multi-client portfolio. Having begun his career at Subsurface Resource Consulting working on projects across West Africa, Mike joined Geoex MCG around 4 years ago. Here he continues to develop global projects, provide subsurface understanding for Geoex MCG’s existing portfolio and also leads the companies activities in Carbon Capture and Storage and Natural Hydrogen. Currently Mike is the project manager for an ambitious seismic acquisition and reprocessing campaign in Venezuela which is the topic of his talk
A driven and focused Chief Executive Director and skilled explorationist with over seventeen years of oil and gas experience in Africa, which includes three years’ experience in the helium sector. Has successfully led AIM-listed Helium One Global Ltd through its successful drilling programme in the southern Rukwa Basin, which delivered the first helium discovery in Tanzania from the Itumbula West-1 well that flowed 5.5% helium to surface during an extended well test and measured up to 7.9% helium. This significant discovery is classified as “green helium” as it has no association with hydrocarbons or CO2 unlike many other helium projects globally.
Transitioned Helium One Global Ltd to a leading operator through the acquisition of the Company’s onshore drilling rig that will accelerate and streamline Company’s drilling programme and development of Tanzania’s helium sector. The Company has recently submitted its first Mining License and is looking forward to working with the GoT to move this exciting helium project forward and into development and production.
Prior to joining Helium One, Lorna previously held a number of Senior Geologist roles with Delonex Energy Ltd, African Petroleum Corp Ltd and Tullow Oil plc, leading numerous exploration drilling campaigns in East and Central Africa, through her extensive geological knowledge of the East Africa Rift System.
Amine is a passionate Geophysicist with over 22 years of experience spanning seismic technology innovation, R&D, and business leadership. He began his career at Veritas-DGC before taking a pivotal role in BP’s UK-based R&D team, where he led numerous projects that demonstrated the value of high trace density seismic for land assets globally.
A fervent advocate for dense seismic acquisition and its transformative impact on subsurface understanding, Amine has been at the forefront of seismic innovation throughout his career. As a founding member of the team behind STRYDE, he played a key role in making dense seismic more accessible and affordable across energy, mining, and infrastructure industries.
In his current role as Chief Geophysicist at STRYDE, Amine is focused on advancing seismic imaging solutions for the renewable energy sector, driving faster, more accurate insights to support the global transition to sustainable energy.
Paul is a Visiting Professor of Information Science & Technology at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. A Geoscientist and Computer Scientist by background, he has worked in exploration Digital Geoscience for over 30 years for large multinationals, small independents and technology companies. He founded his own AI startup in 2018 focusing on Natural Language Processing (NLP) which received the King's Award for Enterprise Innovation in 2023.
Nick is the co-founder of Carbon Catalyst, an independent UK company dedicated to delivering innovative Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) solutions for large-scale decarbonisation. Established in 2020, Carbon Catalyst is advancing two UK carbon transport and storage projects, Poseidon and Orion. Notably, Poseidon is subject to UK's first offshore CO₂ injection test with operations currently ongoing.
Previously, Nick served as Chair of the UK Subsurface Task Force, a collaborative forum of subsurface experts, scientists and senior professionals from industry and academia. The forum works closely with regulators, policymakers and other key stakeholders to support an orderly transition to Net Zero by 2050.
Nick's earlier roles include Managing Director of North Sea operator Azinor, Exploration Director at US independent Endeavour Energy, board member of Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) and President of the Geoscience Energy Society of Great Britain (GESGB).
Debora is a postdoctoral researcher with the Drifters Research Group at the Andalusian Earth Sciences Institute (IACT–CSIC). She holds an MSc in Petroleum Geosciences from the University of Lisbon and earned her PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London. Her research focuses on margin structure, syn-sedimentary tectonics, deep-water processes and marine gateways development. Recently, she’s been working on the Western Iberia and Moroccan continental margin’s deep-water deposits, with a particular focus on their connection with the oceanographic circulation across the Atlantic Ocean throughout its evolution
Lauren is a Senior Analyst at Welligence Energy Analytics within the Middle East & North Africa research team. Prior to this role, she worked as a geoscience consultant for various E&Ps, followed by four years as an exploration geoscientist at Capricorn Energy, working on assets in Suriname, Mexico and the North Sea.
She holds an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College London, and a BSc (Hons) in Petroleum Geology from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Lauren served as the Communications Officer for the Petroleum Group of the Geological Society of London for three years and is currently a member of the GESGB's Young Professionals committee, leading the expansion of activities for YPs in Edinburgh.
Barbara Biskopstø Thorsteinsson is a research geologist at the Faroese Geological Survey (Jarðfeingi), where she has worked since 2016 after earning her master's degree from the University of Bergen in 2015. Her work includes hydrocarbon exploration, geothermal energy, groundwater, sedimentology, and structural geology, the latter being the focus of her master's thesis. As head of marketing for the Faroese continental shelf, Barbara is dedicated to fostering collaborations and promoting the area’s potential. She is also part of the working group for a key project focused on developing leads on the eastern part of the Faroese continental shelf.
Óluva Reginsdóttir Eidesgaard is a research geologist at the Faroese Geological Survey. She holds a PhD degree from the University of Copenhagen from 2021. Her research focus areas comprise hydrocarbon exploration, groundwater exploration and shallow geothermal energy exploration with a focus on utalizing logging interpretations, petrophysics and formation evaluation within volcanic basins.
Since she started at Jarðfeingi in 2011 she has mainly been working with hydrocarbon exploration matters offshore the Faroe Islands and is currently the project manager for the hydrocarbon exploration project Development of leads/prospects on the eastern part of the Faroese Continental Shelf.
A geology graduate from Cardiff University, Mike worked initially for independent oil and gas companies with operations in the UK, Europe and West Africa. In 1989 he joined Petresearch as a geologist, specialising in the marketing of international third-party projects. Mike went on to become the company’s General Manager, until leaving to establish Envoi at the end of 1999.
A qualified lawyer, Richard spent over 25 years in corporate finance at Cazenove and Co. and then institutional stockbrokers Arden Partners plc, where he was one of the founders and Head of Corporate Finance. As such, he was involved in raising significant funding for various energy infrastructure projects. Since 2015, he has been directly involved with a range of energy companies, both publicly quoted and private, including: Chairman at Eden Geothermal Limited, the special purpose company formed to develop a deep geothermal power plant on the Eden Project site in Cornwall; Deputy Chaiman at AIM-listed Atome PLC which is developing large-scale projects in Iceland, Paraguay and Costa Rica to produce green fertiliser from renewable power; and Chairman at Tower Group Limited which is developing an HAR2 hydrogen production facility in Exeter.
